Following the severe winds in Central Ohio, Michael Stinziano and the Franklin County Auditor’s Office want residents to know that property owners whose homes or buildings were damaged may be eligible for a temporary reduction in their appraised value. Under Ohio law, county auditors have the authority to reduce real estate values when a property has been damaged or destroyed by a storm, fire, or other event.
